Customer Question

We are a community based organization. We have a EIN number. We are planning a "Community Day" for members of Fountain Court Cooperative. We are asking vendors for $20.00 for vendor table & chairs. My question is are we allowed by IRS to charge this small fee?

The answer is yes.

As a community based organization - representative of a community or a significant segment of a community, and is engaged in meeting human, educational, environmental, or public safety community needs - this is certainly well within a reasonable operating budget, as long as this is used to further the mission and does not accrue to any associated person individually.
