Is the car registration fee in Texas deductible on Schedule

This answer was rated:

Is the car registration fee in
Texas deductible on Schedule A this year? It was deductible last year and the year before, but the "Personal property taxes" line has disappeared this year. I can't find the information anywhere. Any useful information would be appreciated. -Ann

Hello JA Customer,

The Schedule A has changed slightly this year in its design, but these taxes are still deductible.

Any personal property taxes that you paid or registration fees are deducted on line 8 designated as "other taxes". You just report one combined total on that line of all taxes you paid in this category.
