Resolved Question:

I sold my home in 2007 after living there five years, I also sold the adjoining lot that was part of the yard to a second buyer, can I add the two sales together for the purpose of tax filing?

If the home that you sold and the lot that you sold were on two different deeds and sold in two separate transactions, then the transactions need to be reported separately.
