The DTC SS is a loss of speed signal from the VSS(vehicle speed sensor); without the speed signal sent to the vehicle cluster and abs module, IT WILL GO IN the LIMP MODE.
Please read below the Possible causes for DTC SS.
1-VSS sensor (vehicle speed sensor
2-Shorted or open wire at VSS sensor
3- ECM circuit shorted out to voltage
4- ABS module fault not interpreting speed signal
The other DTC BB ROLL OVER: FIRING OUTPUT, an AIR bag system fault code and that code will not be the cause of limp mode on the SS code.
Please read below the possible causes for DTC BB
This DTC is indicated when the curtain airbag module and the seat belt pretensioner are deployed. Once this DTC is displayed, the memory cannot be cleared. Replace the following parts.
- Airbag control module
- Curtain the airbag module (Operating side).
- Curtain the airbag sensor (Operating side).
- Front outer seat belt with pretensioner (operating side).
