My key faub won't open my forester red light flashes is it battery. I am stranded

Left red Lights and it blinks

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Forester yourself? What have you tried so far?

We need for the faub to work. Won't open car.

You key fob should have a metal key to pull out and unlock manual from driver side door ? on 2015 model i m assuming the key fob battery is dead and need replacing ?
