cruise does not work and the air bag warning light is always on. Cruise light does not ever display even during ignition. Is this the clock spring?

What sort of car is this, make, model and year?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
2012 outback 2.5i

I thought this would be a Subaru.

I own one too.

Yes, it could be the clock spring.

Where is your cruise master switch, set, and cancel etc, ALL on the steering wheel?

all on the steering wheel

Hi John,

Have you done this sort of work before?

Have you got what you need to take the steering wheel off?

Gary

No, I'll take it in for the clock spring.
The traction control light, brake light, and check engine light all come on and off intermittently. The car went into sloth mode for a short time the first time these lights came on. I am reading a lot about the gas cap issue. Is this likely the cause?

Sounds like you have a few issues.

The check engine light is the first to look at for all the other lights.

The airbag light is a separate issue.

An air leak at the gas cap could be a cause, but the code that is set will tell us what is going on.

The car going into slow mode is more than likely an electronic throttle issue.

Hope this helps.
