2000 forester suddenly looses every power every 10-12 miles…

Customer Question
2000 forester suddenly looses...

2000 forester suddenly looses every power every 10-12 miles at highway speed. Engine does not die. After having the clutch in for 3-4 seconds, engine recovers and is good for another 10-12 miles, then it does it again?

Mechanic's Assistant: Has the clutch been slipping? Are you having any trouble shifting?

No

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Forester yourself? What have you tried so far?

Yes, I have checked all the sensors on the vehicle and all are in the limits of the specs in the Chilton manual. Also have went through the fuel system and replaced filter, pump and had injectors checked at a shop.
