My iPod quit working on my 2014 Crosstrek. It was fine, then

Customer Question

My iPod quit working on my 2014 Crosstrek. It was fine, then I switched to Bluetooth to pair my phone so I could take a call. Now when I go back to USB it it stuck at 00 on track 1 and won't play. Turned off and on the iPod, tried another cable. Works fine everywhere else, just not the car. Can you help?
JA: What is the model of your '14 Subaru?
Customer: Crosstrek
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: So far just resetting iPod and switching cables. Not comfortable taking apart the console.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I don't think so

Hi,try this first, disconnect both battery cables and hold cables together for 1 minute this is called a capacitor discharge,it will allow a hard reset of the radio and hopefully bring your Ipod back to proper operation, let me know if this works, thanks
