Coolant reservoir keeps overfilling with coolant and

Customer Question

Hi. Coolant reservoir keeps overfilling with coolant and radiator keeps needing coolant added. Plus, engine overheats.
JA: Have you checked the coolant? Have you checked for a leak in the cooling system?
Customer: Hmmm. Not really. Twice today I added coolant to the radiator and after a short drive the reservoir filled up pretty quickly.
JA: What is the model/year of your Subaru?
Customer: 2003 Outback 2.5 engine.
JA: Are you fixing your Outback yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: New radiator cap. It didn't help.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Yes. How does this work? Is there a fee?
