Quick question. I just had Suburu change the passenger side

Customer Question

Quick question. I just had Suburu change the passenger side airbag in my 2009 Forester (recalled - not an accident). When they returned the car to me, my windshield was now cracked on the passenger side. They didn't say they did it but are making good on it and replacing the windshield. My question is, what could this mechanic have done to break the windshield during the passenger airbag replacement?
JA: What year is your Justy?
Customer: 2009
JA: Are you fixing your Justy yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No the passenger airbag was replaced - recall not accident.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Nope. I just want to understand how it is possible to crack a windshield during the passenger airbag replacement process.
