I have Subaru Forester 2005. After the last service

Customer Question

I have Subaru Forester 2005. After the last service (approximately 5 months ago) when timing belt was replaced engine worked perfectly, but when outside temperature became cold it started to go in very strange mode – high level of vibration and strange sound on the left side of the engine (like couple of cylinders are out of sync). Usually it starts when engine is idle (for example, when waiting for a street light), but sometimes it is happening on freeway at regular speed. What can it be?

Hi, we have found many times a valve guide becomes loose and causes misfires, does the check engine light come on at all?
