Customer Question

My wife parked our 2014 Subaru. She was asked to move it, but the ignition key won't turn at all. Any tips?
JA: Can you turn the steering wheel at all? And what about the key? Is it worn or damaged?
Customer: She can't turn the steering wheel at all. The key is not worn or damaged
JA: What is the model of your '14 Subaru?
Customer: Forester
JA: Are you fixing your Forester yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No, she called me at work. She's tried turning the key, turning the steering wheel, that's about it.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No, thanks

Welcome, I'm Chris (aka Moose), my normal schedule online is around lunch and after dinner past midnight.

  • Sorry no one has helped yet for the question fees you have already paid.
  • I can help with this question.
  • Reply and let me know when your able to work on this concern.
  • One possible cause is the steering wheel is locked. Try to aggressively turn the wheel and turn the key.
