2001 Subaru Forester L blinking At Oil Temp. light.Replaced atf sensor twice(OEM).Fluid replaced 3 times.Got a used trans.from a junk yard.78k miles.I put about 38k miles on it.This is happening for the last 11/2 year. It went away for a while. When I turn the car off and restart the light goes away.Spent countless time.Trans.experts.They want to install trans.cooler .Other trans, guy ask me to replace T.C.U and mentioned it is your electrical problems.Almost !1/2 years!!!I got ~220kmiles on it.I have order used T.C.M.If that does not work I got to go back and have wiring checked out(tedious & expensive job).Other mechanic is telling me I got a weak trans.I don,t know what to beleive.Dealer told me to start eith $600.00 harness.I got my money back from Just Answer too.

Welcome, I'm Chris (aka Moose), my normal schedule online is around lunch and after dinner till early morning.

Have you monitored the trans oil temp with a gauge and through scan tool to see if the readings match and or are actually high?

How long must your drive for the warning to come on?

Chris

used your service this weekend with "Trecers" help. thank you ,thank you, thank you. replaced an A/C fan motor. Local Auto Zone had part. $15.00 "tracer" fee and $40.00 for parts, I saved several hundreds of dollers at a shop. i will recommend you and use you in the future.
