2008 Outback miss fire on cylinders 3 and 4 and cruise light is flashing. Is this limp mode?
JA: While using the cruise control can you accelerate or decelerate? Have you checked the fuses?
Customer: Can't find fuss for cruise control.
JA: Are you fixing your Outback yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes I am. trouble shooting now. trying to figure out what is going on.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

When the check engine light comes on it will cause the cruise light to flash. It's sort of a failsafe so you can't lock the throttle on in case the problem is with the throttle.

Since you have misfire codes, it may feel like the car is in limp mode, but it's not. 2 misfires though is a 50% power loss, so it's probably not feeling to powerful at the time.

Have you done anything to diagnose the misfires just yet?
