have you checked the cv shafts and wheel bearings?

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
i haven't yet, but that was my first guess. if so is it an easy fix? or should i expect it to be expensive and difficult?

will you be fixing yourself

Customer: replied 12 months ago.
No. I'll be taking it in. But this is a small town with a reputation for crooked mechanics unfortunately. I would like to know what I'm getting myself into so I don't get screwed over. I'm also wondering if it's worth spending the money and keeping my car a little bit longer or if I should start looking for a new one

Well thats sad to hear. How far to a reliable shop or dealer? Subaru's are generally very reliable cars so if its a good car then it is probably worth putting the money in to.
