Hi there. Before replacing the PCM, I would recommend first checking the harness and the injector itself to make sure the issue is not coming from any of those instead.I've attached a graphic showing the injector circuits. With ignition on, check that there is system voltage at injector #6 connector (wiggle the connector to rule out any intermittent fault). If OK, turn ignition off. disconnect the injector and the PCM, then check that resistance on the circuit from PCM connector D terminal 13 to the injector is no more than 1 Ohm. If OK, check resistance across injector #6 terminals. If not 5-20 Ohms, replace it.Please let me know if further assistance is needed with this issue.Best Regards.

I will check resistance soon....the other strange thing about this car is the fact that is had a cyl.#3 misfire as well. All symptoms appeared after owner "washed" motor. The motor does have what sounds like chain or guide noise as well. Looking at parameters in all data I cant see any way for it to drop one or 2 cylinders without a cam/crank correlation code in the mix as well. I have never dealt with a Subaru engine or Ecm harness issue other than kids playing where they shouldn't on WRX's and STI's. All of the connectors were dry at visual inspection so I guess its hi/ho hi/ho a pin testing I go.

The checks I've indicated for #6 injector apply for #3 as well. Please let me know how those turn out so we can plan our next move accordingly.
