Customer Question

2006 Subaru Impreza ,15K miles , when accelerating 45 to 55mph a lag - thump or shudder occurs quite frequently. Like the transmission is not engaged then bumps into gear. Not a typical shift. Trans flushed ,new trans oil and filter. Still occurring. This car sat for long periods without being run. What could be the cause?

Hi, this sound like the torque converter not locking up,since the fluid has been changed my next step would be to relearn the shift points, this is only done by dealer though.Anytime there is a shifting concern this is the first place we start when there is a shifting concern if the problem continues after this is performed there is most likely a internal fault in the transmission, thanks for your time.
