How do I remove the front sunroof glass on a 2001 Outback
Hello, that part will be referred to as the "sunroof lid" below is the info. Insure if you can then do just glass but all I have seen, you must do the lid as a unit

  1. Tilt-up the front sunroof (most upper position).
  2. Disconnect ground cable from battery.
  3. Remove sunroof switch.
  4. Remove two mounting bolts.

  1. Detach covers (A) then remove two nuts from tilt-up assembly.
  2. Remove the sunroof lid carefully.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION: When installing sunroof lid, be careful not to pinch the lip of lid.

Sorry car is out of town till tomorrow, I'll have to wait and see if it all make sense. pictures are a little hard to understand without the car to look at. It doesn't seem to hard from the description though. Thanks
Its rather easy, I can resend pics tomorrow if needed but most likely will not> LMK thanks

Now I find out that there is a difference in the sunroof with the LL Bean edition. Is the removal and install the same on that version?
If you have a wagon, its the same. If sedan, then the lid fastens on each end with bolts. still basically the same method
