A PULSATING VIBRATION IN THE FRONT END FELT WHEN MAKING A SLOW SHARP TURN GOING FORWARD?

Carguy1 :

Hi there! Automatic or manual transmission?

JACUSTOMER-oghrpmd5- :

automatic

Carguy1 :

Ok, it sounds like it is possible the tranfer clutches are binding on tight turns.

Carguy1 :

you can try putting a ten amp fuse in the small fuse box labeled FWD by the wiper motor

Carguy1 :

If it is the transfer clutches, then the sensation should go away

JACUSTOMER-oghrpmd5- :

transfer clutches? I'm clueless when it comes to cars...

Carguy1 :

That is the part that makes the Subaru all wheel drive

Carguy1 :

when they wear out, you will get problems on tight cornering

Carguy1 :

The fuse shuts them off, this is how we test to see if they are bad

JACUSTOMER-oghrpmd5- :

it is something that occurred over a period of months, but continually got worse...

Carguy1 :

yes, that is how transfer clutches o bad, they wear out over time

JACUSTOMER-oghrpmd5- :

ok, so if they are bad... what kind of price range do you think I may be looking at with labor??

Carguy1 :

Roughly $1200

Carguy1 :

maybe as little as $900

JACUSTOMER-oghrpmd5- :

is it possible it could be anything else??

Carguy1 :

It is possible it may be something with the power steering. This is why you put the fuse in, to test my theory. or have the dealer look at it.

JACUSTOMER-oghrpmd5- :

Ok. Thank you for your help.
