need to build a free standing roof structure. 54 feet long 25 feet deep. would like to use #2 southern pine 2x12 rafters which I think I can span 22ft, 7 inchs. , also would like 2ft. overhangs. 6x6 post with about a 12 to 14 ft.span/opening . Im thinking double 14 inch lvl front and rear? Also do u think 6x6 post are big enough?
JA: OK. Is there anything else important you think the Structural Engineer should know?
Customer: rafters 16 inch on center 2x4 perlins on top 2 ft. on center metal roof
