I have a 12'...

I have a 12' wide x 24' deep garage. The garage door is on the 12' end and this is the gable end. This is a single story building with no storage. The roof is supported by simplet trusses at 24' centers. Is all open. I would like to expand the garage 6' wider to 18' x 24'. Then put two 8' garage doors on the same end where the current garage door is. So in between the garage doors I plan to put a beam that runs 24' to the other end. I would like to not have to have a center post to support this beam. The expansion will be more of a "lean-to". Halfway up the roof I plan to run roof joist to the new exterior wall. Also tie into the celing ceil My question is what size beam do I need to build to replace the

I hit enter too soon - Also I will tie into the horizontal member of the truss that runs from the truss to the new exterior wall. So I woudl like to make a beam from 2x ? that runs the 24' length in the center of the garage. I am in South Carolina on the coast so no snow loads.
