Customer Question
Hello I was wondering...

Hello I was wondering how much force would the edge of 3/4" treated plywood be able to with stand before it would de-laminate?

Tutor's Assistant: OK. Tell me a bit more about what's going on so we can help you best.

So I am curious if a edge of sheeting was to take a hit by vehicle at a speed of 70 mph how the sheeting would with stand it. I believe there are standards for wind speeds and strenghts

I have a lot of experience with your question, because I was actually interested in this myself some years back. The plywood would de-laminate and be splintered and broken up at speeds much less than 70 mph. In fact at 30 mph, the vehicle would totally destroy, break in half, and splinter a piece of 3/4 of inch treated plywood. Hope this answers your question, thanks.
