I am looking for sections of the top chord of steel LH

Customer Question

I am looking for sections of the top chord of steel LH joists and
JA: OK. Tell me a bit more about what's going on so we can help you best.
Customer: I am trying to detail a strut connection of a re-entrant corner, 32LH joist carrying 166kips and 40g joist girder carrying 203kips. I need to find the sections of the top chords to figure out my connections.
JA: Is there anything else important you think the Structural Engineer should know?
Customer: can't think of any more at the moment, unless he can detail this

Can you elaborate on your question?

Concrete tilt up building 7-1/2" panels. At re entrant corner I have a 32LH joist strut carrying 166 kips and 40G joist girder strut carrying 204 kips. I am used to detailing wood structure where the development steel in the panels is at different levels. In this case the steel is basically at the same level. 6-#7 bars X 20' long.

Are these bars in the panels or the concrete floor deck?

How to transmit the load through the 7-1/2" depth of panel into the longitudinal panel that is perpendicular.
I am thinking plates at each face of 7-1/2" panel with plates welded inside, then plate welded to exterior at the pocket, then rebar welded to that pocket plate to develop the load into the panel. But that fixes only one direction. A plate inside the panel would block the rebar in the other direction.

I'm not following the question completely. Can you post a sketch?

I gotta go. This is too frustrating. Basically I was looking for the section dimensions of the top chords of
LH and G steel joist and joist girders.

They will be different for each condition. The joist manufacturer will optimize the joists based on the loading you provide
