Just building a carport in front of existing brick garage

just building a carport in front of existing brick garage lvl will bolt onto existing brickwork beam span length will be 6m (brick to post ) rafter length will be 3m from pitching beam to ridge, note i am not using trusses,I need to know what size pitching beam and rafter size regards Russell

I would not attach to brick unless you're sure it's structural. Brick is more often just a veneer and not a structural element.
