i am building a wooden...

i am building a wooden beam in the basement that will be supporting 2 floors and 1 roof.
span 14' support posts are 16" from 1 end and 42" from opposite end. outside wall.
we were thinking of using 3-4 2x10" x 14' screwed and glued. we are looking for suggestion/advise

Hello, how are you doing? I'll be happy to assist you.What is the joist length on each side of the beam?Will it support any ceramic tile?Is it supporting two floors and the roof or the attic? It's not common for an interior wall to support the roof.

The joist length on one side will be 12' long 8" beams 16" on center
It will be under a kitchen with appliances, heavy counter, and ceramic floor
It is under a first floor "opening" that is supporting the second floor, the roof, and the crawl space attic.
The load from the "opening" is supported by columns that go from the second floor to the basement, so the beam will carry just the kitchen floor. The "opening" on the first floor goes into an existing one story addition where the joists are not attached to this beam.

Ok, Then you will need 5 - 2x10 southern pine no. 2 if you don't have ceramic tile. If you have ceramic tile, you will need a deeper beam.
