I am replacing a 3/4" plywood with cement board and slate

Customer Question

I am replacing a 3/4" plywood with cement board and slate entrance way which is 41" x 9' wide with a maximum of 2" from the top of the TGI to the bottom of the door. Will 3/4" plywood with a 1.25" slab of cement work without cracking?
