Customer Question

I need to lift a machine that weights 40000 LBS. I can pick it up with a I beam and two 20000 LB jacks. The I beam needs to be 50" long. I will put one jack on each end. How big does the I beam need to be (all the weight will be in the center of the beam)?

Couple of questions:
1. So you will have one beam or two beams?
2. The clear span of the beam will only be 50 inches?
