Can I send a sketch to you somehow - a picture is worth a thousand words. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and long ago (late 1970's) took one CE class in structural - so I am lightly familiar - but have no reference info now.

See attached sketch. From New Wall with 20' beam on it to ridge of roof - about 10' horizontal dimension. Probably want to run the 6x6 post down through floor to new 2-1/2' x 2-1/2' x 18" deep footing at each end of 20' beam. Posts would be buried in the walls - so I need to attach posts well inside walls for shear. Beam will be new support for shortened original roof coming down from ridge AND will support new Shed Rood (14' dimension).What beam size?

I called support and they told me to email THEM the pdf sketch (which I did) and they would get it to you. I emailed it to them at: *****@******.*** - so supposedly, you should have the sketch soon
