I am looking at designing...

I am looking at designing a mobile hydraulic rack that will mount to the underside of an escavator and lift it vetrically about 20" to run on railroad rail. becausxe of clearance issues, I must use something low profile rather than a tall I-beam. I am proposing using two 7 x 7 x #50/ft structural steel tubing at 12.5' long each spaced approx 4' appart as my two main frame beams that the lift rack operates from. There will also be 1" x 7" T1 steel plate welded to the outside walls of the beams with rosea holes and top and bottom welds to help support. These beams will be well end supported and cross braced also. I need to support approx 90,000 + lbs. Will this do the job?

StructuralEng : Can you tell me where along the 12.5' span the beams will be loaded? Two points on each beam? 4' from each end (or some description like that)?

Customer:

There will be three load points per beam, two will be for for the legs of the rack that will swing up the 20" and pone point for the base of the hydraulic cylinder. The points are as such, first point is a leg at approx 1' from fixed end of tube, next point is a leg apporx 5'-6" from same end and the the base of the hydraluic cylinder at 11'-2" from the same end of tube.90,000 will be slpit eqaully.

Under that loading condition, the HSS 7x7x5/8 ASTM A500 Gr. B (Fy = 46 ksi) will work, but is stressed at 90%.
