Is this a commercial premises, or a residential premises?
When did your landlord lock the doors?
What your landlord has done is illegal.
It is well-known that one is not allowed taking the law into one own's hands.
What the landlord should have done, it to apply to Court for an order cancelling the lease agreement and ejecting/evicting you from the leased premises. Then, armed with the Court Order, the SHERIFF of the Court would then perform the actual ejectment/eviction.
The landlord is NOT allowed to come and lock up the premises, or change the locks, or deny you entry into the leased premises ... even if you are behind in your rental obligations.
Then there is a chance that you are entitled to a remission of rental for that period that you couldn't operate! But you will need to 'demand' this from him. Ultimately, you'll need to perform a reconciliation of rental outstanding vs remission of rental and see who owes who what.
