INVESTMARKETSGood DayPlease note for the record I would request a full
refund/recharge on my account TA11075821
I believe several regulations and trading procedures / protocols were not
followed.My registration documents are still not captured and complete AND TWO
DECLINED.I am trading for the first time in my life and was allocated a accounts
manager after speaking with the Manager Mr Peter
Who informed me that I could make R 1.6 MILLION RAND in one month and so
encouraged me to start trading with INVESTMARKETS
Without taking any documents for me to fill in as required by the regulator to
see my financial position what experience I have etc .I did not understand how
to trade and An***** ***** was assigned to me as a accounts manager who told me
where to put how much and what percentage
And always pushed me to find more money to keep my level margin high. In just 6
days of trading I have lost R700 000.00 SOUTH AFRICAN RAND.I did not sign any
client agreement terms and conditions
I did not get company information but that that was explained to me on the phone
I did not read any privacy policies /risk disclosures terms of use nothing.
No general fees no margin information no max trade size no bonus terms and
conditions no trading alerts no AML policy no commodity index rollover
information
and calculation was explained to me or asked if I had seen any of the
information above.This is not how a company of your stature should be treating
new clients and they end up losing all our savings .
I am a man of hope ad living in a third world country is not easy so when you
can you try make some extra money which was in this caseOnly under false
pretences and you saw a opportunity to exploit me at a time of desperation and
you now have my entire life savings.I have looked at an international company
that is willing to assist me legally as I have very strong case that protocol
and procedures were not followed
From the outset. I have phone recordings of all conversations from the outset of
this financial investment documents emails .I have documents showing me that my
application was not complete but yet I was trading.I have had 16 phone calls
from your company since 10h00 this morning that shows me that you wanted more
money and with the false hope of making back every cent and
More if we traded differently as per Mr Richards advise from you recovery
department.I kept explaining to the managers that I cannot afford this money to
be lost but they kept pushing me until my bank account was empty.
They even then carried on to say have I not got a friend who can give me a
HUNDRED THOUSAND RAND and would open another account for me so when it gets
deposited it wont get swallowed up by my original account.
That is just intimidation reckless trading and willing to expose me into getting
myself into more debt than I am at the moment because of the way my account was
handledI would prefer not to get advocates and ombudsman involved to ensure the
transition goes quietly and smoothly, this is however up to you how you want to
handle this situationPlease don’t put some young person onto this as I don’t
have the time to waste ,I expect somebody that can make decisions on the spot no
negotiations will be entertained
And further more all correspondence from now on will be e-mail and not over the
cell phone.I look forward to your favourable response soonestRegards *****

I honestly think I received 17 calls today alone from INVESTMARKETS wanting
another R100 000.00 RAND O INVEST IN CRUDE OIL AND I WOULD MAKE MY MONEY BACK BY

I am truly sorry to hear about the great misfortune you have experienced with
the company INVESTMARKETS.

I am not sure why you would request repayment of your deposit from us at
JustAnswer though. We have no relationship or affiliation with the mentioned

Sadly, I believe that the answer I am about to give you is not going to be very
good news for you and you may not like my answer very much.

Be that as it may, here goes.

You seem to have been scammed. As my grandfather always used to say - if
something sounds too good to be true, it usually is...

When ANY investor or broker tells you that you are able to make huge amounts of
profit (especially in a short amount of time), you should run for the hills.
These are almost always without exception a scam.

Before you invest with any company or broker it is crucial to get plenty of
referrals and to do a proper due dilligence of the company you are about to
entrust you hard earned money to.

Some of the online trading platforms and brokers, if not all or most of them,
are dodgy companies registered in jurisdictions like Estonia or some or other
Eastern Europian country or Belize where there are no real financial regulations
and they have only one goal - to take your money from you. Seeing as they are in
such a country, they could potentially not be breaking any laws and, even if
they are, they are well aware of the fact that it is nearly impossible for
someone in South Africa to sue them for the money they "lost" (read stole).

The reason why the financial services industry in SA and other developed
countries are so highly regulated is to protect people like us against scams
like these.
