While it will not get me my money back, have they not also committed a crime: theft or fraud, for example? Between them they have 'taken' my money.
True, but the police would see it as a civil claim against them since you invested the money with them, and they have failed to pay you back.
This is not a simple "theft" or "fraud" case which the police will investigate.
On speaking with the Accountants, no financial statements have ever been prepared for the CC. As a 33% shareholder, I was told I had rights to see the financial statements, and a say in the management of the CC. The mother, as the responsible officer, then in turn the daughter, have at least totally ignored Companies Act and CC laws - and failed to account and declare profits to the SA tax authorities. I have earlier emails and hand-written details of the sale proceeds, less costs, for the profits I declared to UK Inland Revenue. I also have the investment statements. The mother included a provision for withholding taxes too - so moneys I have received were paid 'net of tax' to me. Clearly, the SA police and tax authorities might have an interest in events too?
