Have set up an account between myself and another person, funds have been added yet we cannot connect. On the other end at least $125 has been added and I have added funds on my side so what are we possibly doing wrong

If you're signed into Skype but don't see your Skype Credit, you probably just signed in to a different account than you were expecting to see.

How did this happen?

1) You might have multiple Microsoft accounts and not even know it.
Have you ever used Outlook.com, Hotmail, Office 365, OneDrive, Xbox, or Windows? The email address you use for those services can also be used to sign in to Skype. If you have more than one account, you can be signed in to Skype but not with the correct account where your contacts and Skype Credit are stored.

2) Someone else may have used your device to sign in to their Microsoft account.
Someone like a friend, family member, child, or spouse may have used your device to sign in to their account and forgotten to sign back out.

I did check and I had a microsoft account from about 3 years ago I had totally forgotten about. So I went and set up Skype through that account. We can see each other but cannot hear each other so where do I go from here. Since I have Skype on my phone could that possibly causing a problem?

The problem may be with the other person's microphone. Ask your friend to check out our guide to solving microphone issues. If you can't hear the song – or if you can, but still can't hear your friend on Skype – check the following: If you're using external speakers or headphones, check that they're plugged in.

Also try accessing skype on your phone and see if that works.
