I think before we are asked to agree with the terms, conditions etc, we should be told the cost of having the app.

Please address all charge to JA customer service. I'm just an expert. Anyways here is some more info that will help with your issue:

Subscriptions bought via iTunes (for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV) need to be managed via iTunes. While we are informed about your subscription status by Apple, we do not manage and control your subscription and payments.

Emails about your subscription will be entitled Your invoice from Apple. You can find a link at the bottom of this email which directs you to the refund process.
