I recently down loaded...

I recently down loaded the newest FTM version, 3.1 and I can't get to Ancestry from that program. Is it not connected or is something wrong, either with the program or with me?

Technician's Assistant: Have you tested the connections by doing a ping utility test?

No. whenever I try to get to ancestry or to find my actual tree, it tells me i am not on the internet and/or there is a firewall.

Technician's Assistant: Have you installed any updates recently?

I just downloaded the "newest" version, I think, because I was in the test group. Am I missing something?

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?

Actually, no. Why should I pay anything to make a brand new program work that I just paid for? I have been involved with 3rd party stuff before and I am not doing this again. How do I get in touch with mackiev directly. They have to have support directly. I am 77 years old and not a real techy but I do ok. All I want is legitamate support to get started using the program I have been waiting for FOREVER!
