hard drive failed.. but am trying to attain a win7 repair/and or reinstall disk for it to make sure.
JA: How much experience do you have with this particular machine?
Customer: fairly a lot.. it is a home computer, ACER group - relatively not new, i am a GIS analyst and work on PCs / OS a lot. have the SN/SNID - but at site it said it could not locate. I also have the install KEY for win 7 home premium 64 bit. used the reapair disk from that I made - byt says the HD is bad runing SMART
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: no
JA: Anything else you want the computer expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: have run through the bios several times.. just says no OS / no HD on board
