No, I think the issue is Yahoo Messenger for Mac 3.0.2.235554 does no longer work on 10.6 and when I install the latest version it requires 10.9 or later which I don't have..

It still won't login.. I think I will have to upgrade my os x only to get yahoo to work yahoo to work.. How do I upgrade to mavericks or perhaps el capitan?..

Not yet.. One more question, I have notepads and folders saved on my desktop, if I update from Snow Leopard to El-Capitan, will I lost everything I have saved?..
