Customer Question

Using the pen tool I made two paths to cut out an image of a chandelier. One was for the outline and the other was for the inside spaces where the brass pipes crisscross.
My quastion is how do I make a selection with both paths in layers so that I can extract the chandelier and put it on a white background.
I have done it with one path selected but not sure how to do it with two paths.
When I try it I get the spaces that are inbetween extracted into the white background.
How do I delete the inbetween space and bring the chandelier into layers?
