My PC is 4 years old. I can connect to the internet

my PC is 4 years old. I can connect to the internet (wireless) and play youtube videos or search google or almost anything however when I try to go to certain websites (, the page cannot be loaded and network diagnostics can't identify the problem. My roommate just got a new pc and his works perfect. Is it just my old laptop or the network connection?

Please do the following in Internet Explorer

Click Tools (the gear wheel top right) than Internet Options

Click on the General Tab and Delete all Temporary Internet Files.

Than click the Advance Tab and click Reset

Then restart the computer and tell me if Internet Explorer still has the issue please.

I can see you are a first time user to the site. What we do here is either a question and answer type of conversation or remote support where I would actually connect to the computer and have a look and attempt to fix the problem for you.

Okay I tried deleting the temporary files and reseting internet explorer then restarting my computer and that did not work. I have class in 30 minutes from 1 - 3 p.m. I will accept the remote support then if that works for you?
