MOnitor files....that kind of sounds like a virus. Do you have any Antivirus software?
Oh, McAfee is THEE worst!
its really a poorly written and managed AV program.
But, in any case.....have you done any SCANS of the harddrive lately?
Are you able to DISABLE McAfee, even if its just for awhile. To see if that stops the error messages from coming up.
I think that the REAL TIME MONITORING is malfunctioning, either on McAfee, or from a virus acting as a MONITOR file.

Well, i would check a few things, like the drivers, and see if the device manager is seeing anything wrong.
I would check the event viewer for the error's, and also see if McAfee has anythign to do with it.
It would be an additional $21. And there is NO guarantee it will fix the issue either.
If it is Virus related, Sometimes, the ONLY fix is to REinstall the WHOLE operating system, and wipe/erase the hard drive.
