Hello! My name is*****
Please tell me if you are referring to password ***** your e-mail account or password ***** something else.
OK. Which Windows version is installed on your computer?
Do you have only 1 user account or several?
If you have tried every password ***** could think of, and it hasn't worked, there is a way of resetting that user account password, but it will require you to use another computer you can log onto with Internet connection since you need to download a password ***** program and burn it onto a CD, which you then need to insert into the computer with password ***** and boot from it in order to reset the user account password *****Will you be able to do that? If so, I can provide the thorough instructions on how to proceed.
There are many programs that you can use to reset the password. They come as a bootable USB version or a bootable CD/DVD version.
If you have already downloaded one of them, you can try with it. You just need to set booting from USB in order to start it. Restart the computer and if it doesn't load the program from the USB, you need to restart the computer again and enter the BIOS settings. You can change the boot priority order there.
It depends on the computer model, but usually you need to press one of the following keys while the computer is starting:
You need to press one of those keys immediately after the computer is powering on. If nothing happens, but Windows 7 starts to boot, restart the computer and try with other keys.
If none of the keys worked, let me know the make and model of your computer and I will check the right key you need to press in order to access the BIOS settings.
OK. Go to the Boot tab. You will see a list of several boot devices. You need to set USB HDD or something similar to that name at the top of the list. Use + and - keys to move, or any other that is displayed on the screen.
Once done, press the F10 key and Y to save the changes and exit the BIOS. The computer will restart and should load a program from the USB.
OK, put it at the top. After that, press the F10 key and Y to save the changes and exit the BIOS. The computer will restart and should load a program from the USB.
Good. You can now follow the instructions you see on the screen.
You probably just need to type numbers before the available options you see.
Type 1 and then press Enter.
You need to select the one you want to reset the password ***** Select your user account. It seems to be Janice.
Yes, I can see your responses.
What is the name of the program you downloaded on USB?
You can restart the computer and check, but I don't think there has been any changes since you used a demo version. The price for full version is $20. I can provide the instructions on how to download another program that is free to use.
Let me know if the program made any changes.
OK. The program I usually use for password ***** comes as a bootable CD version, not a bootable USB.
Do you have a blank CD and ability to burn a CD on your other computer?
OK, let me look for another program that will work on a USB then.

Let me know what happens when you click on both links.
Try with this link instead:
Please go to https://rufus.akeo.ie and scroll down to get to the Download section. There click on Rufus 2.3 to download it.
Which Windows version do you have on your other computer?
You can come back later and follow the instructions I provided here. I tested Rufus on my Windows 8.1 computer and it worked just fine. The program works on all Windows versions.
Please download a Portable version (Rufus 2.3 Portable) available at the same web site (https://rufus.akeo.ie) and try with that.
