Simply follow the instructions and send it in with the required supporting documents. SSA will process it and you should receive a new card shortly.

The fastest way to replace your Social Security card is to request a new one online.

But to get a temporary printout that same day, you need to go to the office. For security reasons, the federal government will not allow you to print your Social Security card yourself from the website.
