Windfall and payback of "overpayment" I am 71 years old,
During the time I worked for WWF-International, I did not pay into the US SS program, per an international agreement. have never asked those funds be considered in calculating my US SS benefits. So why am I now required to pay SS funds that I don't have. (I am living way below the poverty line in HUD-subsidized housing for fhe elderly poor and handicapped)I truly do not understand this situation and need assistance with filing an appeal as the SS is threatening to stop all my monthly entitlement payments until the $5000 has been paid from my monthly entitlement. That would mean that I will become homeless, amongst other dire consequences.Any help in answering what I need to do or where I can locate a listing of authorized advocates for pro bono or paid help. With thanks for your kindness, Brian B Black,***@******.***, Tel(###) ###-####… read more
