Hello, I am 63 and 1/4 years old. At 62 and 3/4 years (June 2019) I started to collect my SS benefits. I thought that I was going to reduce my work hours by changing to part-time. Due to my wife's unpaid medical expenses, I needed to continue working full-time. To date, I have earned $28,447 at my job, so I have greatly exceeded the Social Security limit. I want to immediately withdraw my SS application and pay back all of the Social Security income that I have received ($1,638 monthly). I have the funds available to do so. If I immediately submit Form SSA-521 to the Social Security office in my city, how long does it take for the Form to be approved and for me to be notified. Can I submit the form on-line? If yes, how do I do that? What will occur with the 2019-1099 that Social Security will initially issue with all of my benefits received? Will SS issue a corrected 1099 stating that I received $0 in benefits, after they cash my repayment check? If I do change my mind and decide to work only part-time hours, how long after SS cashes my repayment check, do I need to wait to re-file my SS application to start receiving my SS benefits? Thank you for your help. Richard … read more
