I will start collecting my social security July 1, 2018 at the age of 65. My wife has been collecting for 2 years. she is now 65 and will turn 66 in may 2018. My benefit draw is about 1-1/2 times hers. Is she entitled to more SS when I start drawing ?

Your spouse may be eligible for spousal benefits based on YOUR working record.

Spousal benefits are generally 50% of your benefits IF she starts her benefits at her FRA which is 66.

As she started at age 63 - her benefits will be further reduced - and woudl be 37.5% of your benefits.

As she will be eligible for both benefits - based on her own working record and spousal benefits (based on your working record) - she may choose to receive a larger of these - but may not receive both benefits at the same time.

Based on your information - her own benefits are expected to be larger - and if that is correct - there is no reason to collect spousal benefits.
