Hi, I have a question about this:I am thinking about getting married, my late husband has been dead about 16 months, and I need to know if I would lose my social security if I would do this. I feel I would really need all the help I could get at this time.

Accountant's Assistant: The Retirement Accountant will know how to help. Is there anything else important you think the Retirement Accountant should know?

Hi. My name is ***** ***** I will be happy to help you.

It depends on type of benefits you are receiving (based on your own records or based on your late husband's records) and your age. Are you 60 or older?

Ok. If you remarry you will not lose your own or widow benefits but if you are also receiving SSI (supplemental security income) you may lose the SSI portion.
