I'm going to be married in January to a retired veteran who has Tricare For Life insurance. For me to be eligible for his insurance, I need to be sure that I've been paying Part B medical insurance since I began paying into Medicare. The payment must go directly from SSA to Medicare, not go through my insurance company. I'm sure you are familiar with Tricare and can help me with this information.

I'm not sure but I don't think so.

You can sign up here with social security for Part B.

How do I sign up for Medicare Part B if I already have Part A?

If you already have Medicare Part A and wish to sign up for Medicare Part B, please complete form CMS 40-B, Application for Enrollment in Medicare - Part B (Medical Insurance), and take or mail it to your local Social Security office. You can also call Social Security’s toll-free number 1-***-***-**** (TTY 1-***-***-****). or contact your local Social Security office.

Call 800 number or make appointment to do so at local social security office.

I appreciate the chance to help you , please let me know if you have more,

Thanks again and thanks fo rating 5 stars.

I wish you a Happy Holidays.

The standard Part B premium amount in 2017 is $134 (or higher depending on your income). However, most people who get Social Security benefits pay less than this amount. This is because the Part B premium increased more than the cost-of-living increase for 2017 Social Security benefits.
