I am on ss and also n.h.workers comp.Before I was on SSDI at which ended when I turned 66.Medicare was covering me but not for back related problems which were covered by my workers comp coverage.Is this situation still in effect or did the workers comp end when I retired along with my SSDI?

You may apply for Medicare - as soon as your turn 65 (not 66) or as soon as you will be receiving social security benefits at least for two years - whatever will occur first.

Regarding your social security disability benefits - that is a different issue.

Social Security disability benefits automatically change to retirement benefits when disability beneficiaries become full retirement age. The law does not allow a person to receive both retirement and disability benefits on one earnings record at the same time.
