Hi. My name is ***** ***** I will be happy to help you.

Just to clarify, you cannot collect her benefits, her benefits died with her. Your widower benefits are your benefits based on her records.

Are your widower benefits (based on your wife's records) higher than your own benefits based on your records?

no

You can apply for reduced widower benefits now, you will be eligible for about 72% of what your wife was eligible for at the time of her death. At full retirement age you can switch to 100% of your own or wait until 70 and receive 130% of your own benefits.

But if you continue working, you earnings may still reduce or eliminate your benefits. Once you reach your full retirement age you can have unlimited earnings and keep your full benefits.
