HI, MY NAME’S LANE - I hold a law degree (J.D.), with concentration in Tax Law, Estate law & Corporate law, an MBA in finance, a BBA, and CFP & CRPS (Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist) designations, as well - I’ve been providing financial, Social Security/Medicare, estate, corporate, non-profit, and tax advice 1986.

...

No, if this is any Social Security administered benefit besides SSI (Supplemental Security Benefit) your benefit will not be reduced. (For example, Socual Security retirement, Social Security disability, and Social Security Survivors benefits would - none of them - be reduced).

...

The only benefit that has a cap Ia limit for two individuals is a benefit called Supplemental Security Income.

...

The main difference between Social Security Disability (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is the fact that SSDI is available to workers who have accumulated a sufficient number of work credits, while SSI disability benefits are available to low-income individuals who have either never worked or who haven't earned enough work credits to qualify for SSDI.

...

While many people don't distinguish between SSI (Supplemental Security Income) and SSDI (Social Security Disability Insurance), they are two completely different governmental programs.

...

The monthly federal amount (there can also be a state supplement) SSI amount for an Individual is 735 with a limit for a couple of 1,103.

...

But again, that only applies to ***** other Social Security benefits (retirement, SSDI, survivors benefit, etc.) neither one of your benefits will be limited.

Please let me know if you have ANY questions at all, before rating me.

If this has helped, and you DON’T have other questions … I'd appreciate a positive rating (using the stars or faces on your screen, and then clicking “submit")

I hope that you’ll rate me based on my accuracy and thoroughness, rather than any good news/bad news content.

That’s the only way JustAnswer.com will compensate me for the work here.

Thanks,

Lane
